I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Georgia. I study how people and AI can build trust and work well together in manufacturing, using music as the communication channel. I’m looking for roles in AI implementation, human-centered AI, and R&D.
2022 - May 2027 (Expected)
University of Georgia, Athens, GA
Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering
My dissertation, Tunes of Trust: A Framework for Auditory Nudges in Human-AI Manufacturing Collaboration, looks at how musical cues (tempo, pitch, and rhythm) can guide attention and build trust between workers and AI systems.
2017 - 2022
Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran
B.S., Mechanical Engineering
For my undergraduate thesis, I designed a hand exoskeleton for pianists to help prevent focal dystonia, a movement disorder that can end a musician’s career. This project was my first step in bringing music and engineering together, and it shaped the path that led to my Ph.D. research.
2022 – Present
University of Georgia, Athens, GA
Graduate Research Assistant
Human-AI Collaboration & Musical Nudges: I built a four-station simulated assembly line with biosensors, load cells, and video capture. I ran a 20-participant study comparing guidance from humans and from AI, and analyzed the data with Python, R, MAXQDA, and NASA-TLX.
USDA-NIFA Pecan Processing: I designed experiments across 100+ soaking treatments to improve pecan kernel moisture conditioning, and I present our findings to 120+ industry partners each year.
2024
Magic Trick Media, Nashville, TN
Research Intern
I used audience research to shape content strategy and social media campaigns for multimedia projects.
2020-2021
Tieco Group & Jetco Group, Iran
Engineering Intern
At Tieco, I designed a drone-based pipeline inspection system. At Jetco, I improved vehicle packaging and ergonomic design.
